Our Appointment

We are just home from our appointment and we have a diagnosis and finally a plan of action! I have just been diagnosed with PCOS and non ovulation. The obgyn wants us to try Clomid days 2-6 starting with my next cycle which they are inducing because they dont want me to go for another goodness knows how long without a period, i have to go see my gp tomorrow at 11:50 am for a prescription of Norethisterone 5mg which i have to take for 5 days once i start AF i have to take Clomid from CD2 until CD6 at 50mg for the first month, I have to have seriel progesterone tests taken every few days to look for O, and she said to consistently BD from cd10-16 because dh's sperm is looking really good. If i dont O on 50mg of Clomid the first month they have to up the dosage to 100mg the second and then 150mg the 3rd month. I have to watch out for some dangerous signs of sever abdominal pain and blurry vision and if that happens i have to go straight to the ER. However thats worst case senario. She told me the chances of multiples are around 10% with clomid. If clomid gets me Oing and pregnancy doesnt occur then she is talking about checking my tubes, removing some of the scar tissue and referring me onto the Infertility Specialist at a different hospital. Who will start out with IUI for a few cycles and then if nothing happens its onto IVF. She is optimistic that Clomid will hopefully work but told me to prepare for every possible outcome. I have also to try and reduce some more of my weight as they look for a BMI of 35 or lower before doing IVF. So all in all a great appointment! I am so excited to finally have a plan!!My next appointment with the obgyn is on Nov 30th, hopefully i will be going with a baby inside!!
